Sarai and Mansoor have brought an incredible amount of energy and love to GYG over the years. The two of them have helped create an amazing culture at our GYG Fountain Plaza restaurant. From their infectious smiles to their passion for creating delicious Mexican cuisine for our awesome customers, they are very much a part of the GYG fabric.

Sarai began her journey in the GYG family over 10 years ago after moving to Australia. She knows the ins and outs of the business having worked at GYG Crows Nest, Martin Place, Australia Square and now Fountain Plaza. Having started out working on the line putting together those delicious Burritos, Nachos and Tacos that we all know and love, to dealing with customers day-to-day working sales, becoming a Shift Leader and now Assistant Regional Manager. A true testament to building an awesome career at GYG!
Throughout the years working at GYG Sarai has had the opportunity to develop her skills obtaining a Cert III in Hospitality, Food Safety Supervisor certification, First Aid and Barista training. Don’t just take it from us though Sarai says, “Working at GYG is my Vitamin D! GYG is a family that helps you grow and develop your goals everyday.” And if you want a hot tip on what to order then Sarai will tell you that “you can’t go past a Burrito Bowl with chicken, veggies, guac, lettuce and smokey chipotle… and you can’t forget adding fries and washing it down with a guava Jarritos.”
If you want an example of someone that is passionate about the GYG brand then look no further than Mansoor. In 2013, Mansoor made the bold decision to uproot and move to the Central Coast to take up an opportunity to work at our newly opened Fountain Plaza restaurant. Since then he has never looked back! Working across the line preparing all the GYG classics, to crushing sales and more recently leading a team as the Head Cook.
Across his nine year journey at GYG, Mansoor has had the opportunity to develop and grow his culinary skills. He’d say the best part of working at GYG is “My amazing colleagues, the work-life balance and for sure the Burritos.” In fact, Mansoor has been named the ‘Connoisseur of Cali Burritos’ having eaten one every day since they launched!
