🤫 Let’s talk Free-Range Chicken. GYG made a commitment way back in 2016 to serve ONLY 100% FREE-RANGE CHICKEN. We’ve shared a lot about our mission to serve 100% Clean food, but our food philosophy extends further than just Clean. We are also committed to following ethical practices in how we source our food! From 2016, all our Chicken products, including our Grilled Chicken, Crispy Chicken Tenders and Chicken Chorizo are 100% FREE-RANGE.
The most exciting part (in our opinion) is our Signature Guerrero Marinade, where all the flavour comes from. This almost 20-year old recipe has been followed in our kitchens since the day we opened our first restaurant in Newtown! Combining authentic Mexican spices and flavours, our Guerrero Marinade is sweet, smokey and bold! With hints of Archiote Seeds, Marjoram, Clove, Orange and the famous Guajillo Chili, we wanted to make sure the flavours were authentic to the Mexican culture! With love, our team hand rub each piece of Free Range Chicken daily 😍😍😍
🇲🇽 Fun fact – the word Guerrero comes from the name of the Warrior state in Mexico 🇲🇽
Now to where the magic happens 🔥🔥 That beautiful smokey, char flavour comes from our flame grills. As the flame and heat come through the grills, it caramelises the Guerrero Marinade. This is where you’ll see those red and earthy tones come to life in our Chicken.
